Dryer vent re-lo project.

The original dryer duct work was a plastic flexible hose that ran from under the laundry room to the back of the house. The old flex hose was all rotten and torn. I didn't like that it was such a long run so I made a panel to mount a dryer exit vent to and screwed it to the outside of one of the crawl space vents on the front of the house. I used a swivel joint and three (3) 24" duct pipes to get close to where the dryer flex hose came through the floor. I should have used an adapter to connect the flex hose to the new duct but wasn't going to crawl out, drive to Lowes to get the adapter, and crawl back under the house. I just crimped the duct a little and forced the flex hose over it enough that I could tape the joint. I'm hoping it won't come loose.

I supported the new duct work with straps screwed to the joists.

It's tons of fun crawling under the house from one corner where the door is to the other to get to where the laundry room is. At least my coverall got most of the lint that had accumulated on the plastic on the dirt floor.
