Moving Along - Tues & Wed
Tuesday we did a lot of standing around waiting on return phone calls. We did what we could to move forward but were stuck on the eave purlins in the first bay. The corner columns extended beyond the roof line and were in the way. I called Premier and of course my sales rep was on vacation (probably spending his commission on my building). I traded a couple of calls with the guy covering for him and finally got ahold of the owner. I used the scissor lift to get a close-up photo of my problem because none of them could understand the explination. I decided to go ahead and cut the offending corners off and we proceeded. I finally got a call late morning after we had assembled most of the 2nd bay from Premier with permission to cut the columns. I requested written confirmation via e-mail. A couple of hours later I got a call asking for my e-mail address. DUH-I sent the pictures by e-mail, just reply to that e-mail.
We kept on rolling and Nip only tried to kill Audifaz twice or three times moving the scissor lift around. Audi is trying to hold steel in place for Leroy and Nip is moving the scissor cuz he's not paying attention to what everyone else is doing. Well, no-one died today so it was a good day. I'm starting to worry though. You have to really watch some of these guys.
Barring and other serious problems I should have a reasonably complete frame by Friday afternoon.
