7/11/2014 - Drip trim for the carport and eave trim on 1 wall.

We had a pow-wow this morning to figure out what the plan for the day was. Because we are working with trim pieces now we have to be careful to plan ahead and figure out the puzzle. Although there are detail drawings, they don't always match what we need to do and don't indicate which parts go first.

An example of which parts go first is at the corner trim around the garage door wall. If we had installed that before we installed the drip trim at the bottom of the carport sheeting, we would have realized that the 2 inches we cut off of the drip trim was there to cover the corner piece at the top. We didn't realize this until we were installing the eave trim and saw that it covered the top of the front corner trim very nicely. Fortunately we have extra drip trim pieces that we can use to replace the ones we cut short.

I also got a delivery today of the four extra rolls of insulation I ordered to cover the roof over the carport. I had originally thought that the insulation wouldn't be necessary but was talked into insulating that part of the roof by them that know better. I may have to put up chicken wire to keep the birds from picking at it, but that will come later.
