8/25/2014 - Seal top of carport wall

Brandon and Leroy were busy elsewhere today so I took the time to finish installing the foam boards sealing the top of the front wall. I installed 2 layers of 3/4 inch foam wall board for a total thickness of 1 1/2 inches. This should keep in enough heat and reduce any unwanted winter drafts. Since it was impossible to get a perfect fit, I used expanding spray foam to fill the little gaps around the ends of each filler piece. What a mess. There is no way to squirt the stuff over your head without getting it all over the place. I was smart enough to wear gloves, so only spent an hour or so cleaning up what rolled down the front of the building.

We still need to cut and fit the metal trim that will cover the blue boards.
