There was a gorgeous Sunset last night. Very peaceful after a couple of Bourbons. The Sunset photos are at around 9:30 local time. Jon said he got up at around 3 am and that it does actually get dark at night.
As usual we were on the road at 6:30am. The roads were wet from an overnight storm, but we saw no rain. Early going was easy as they hadn't set up the road maintainence road-blocks yet. The roads were in pretty good shape and we moved along pretty well. After an hour or so we did hit some construction.
With the wet roads, it just made the spray from the trucks muddy. We passed every truck we could, but they just kept appearing out of nowhere. Our first butt break for breakfast didn't happen for 117 miles in Ft. Nelson. That took us 2 1/2 hours. A&W has a pretty good breakfast plate, eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and toast. The manager remembered us from our trip up.
Lots of traffic today after around 10:30. It was hard to make very good time because of on-coming traffic. When there was no-passing, the road was clear. In the passing zones there was always on-coming traffic. Oh Well! Such is life. I'm sure we scared a few Canadians today.
The video below is actually 3 shortened clips showing a variety of our travels today. See if you see the moose.
