Gadget's Garage - 6-11-2014
This series of photos are from June 7 through June 11. We had some pretty heavy rain one night which washed quarry dust and mud into the footer. It took 2 hours to dig it all back out. We made a temporary culvert to redirect run-off from the driveway away from the footing trenches. As crude as it was it worked pretty well.
The plumbers came out on tuesday and roughed in the under slab drains for the bathroom. A 10 foot tall pipe is added, everything is capped off and the system gets filled with water. The inspector looks for leaks. I guess 10 feet of water is quite a bit of pressure. I didn't get a call back from the permit office until Wednesday morning, but was able to get an inspector out same day. He signed us off and now we can start concrete.
Thursday the 12th is going to be a ZOO. The steel is being delivered at 7:30 am and we are going to pour concrete if the weather holds. More is happening tommorrow than since I started.
