Monday June 16 - Steel goes up.
We got a slow start today. The guys came with the repaired steering cylinder for the LULL. Took them about an hour to install and bleed the system. The scissor lift won't come until around 3pm so we have to improvise.
Probably the hardest part is finding the right pieces for this puzzle. Everything looks like it should fit, but they don't. Some are easy because there are obvoius differences. There are no Tab A into Slot B instructions. You have to look at the plans, try to figure out which friggin' part they REALLY want you to use, double check the labels, recheck the plans, and so on and so forth. So far we have only bolted one piece in wrong, it was the first post we set. We had it rotated 180 degrees, no biggie.
It was REALLY hot and humid today. By 4 o'clock we were all soaking wet and dead tired. A storm was rolling in so we had to quit right at the wrong time. Hopefully the LULL will keep anything from blowing over.
I picked up a 2 axle trailer today, too. I should be able to haul anything I want now, move the tractor to job sites if I need to dig for someone.
