9/8/2014 - Final Passed!
The first photos are from last night during an intense rain storm we had. This was the first time we'd gotten any real rain since we installed the drainage on the East side of the building. I kept watching the West side to see where the water wanted to go (or not go). Looks like I have some adjusting to do with the grading on the West of the building to keep the water moving where I want it to go.
The inspector stopped by this morning (Monday) to re-inspect the stuff I failed for last week. WooHoo! Final inspection passed! Now I can get serious about stuffing my new garage full of crap.
We put some grout under the column where the low corner of the concrete was and patched some small chips in the floor. After that, Leroy and I installed a 3/4 inch airline kit that I had bought months ago. We ran the blue piping and mounted 3 taps where I could install connections for air hoses. I may add a connection later on the other side of the building, but for now I have air in the welding area by the big door and halfway back. That should be enough to get me started.
I had to run out to get some more wire and air fittings. While I was gone Brandon and Leroy continued wiring outlets on the West side of the building. We installed a dedicated 20 amp circuit by the garage door and 4 more boxes connected to the original circuits next to the breaker box. While they were working on the electric, I started moving stuff down from the attached garage to its new home in the big garage. I don't have everything in its final home, it'll take a week or so to decide where I want to put everything.
Brandon and Leroy also installed the seals along the sides of the garage door while we still had the scissor lift.
Next will be to get everything out of storage and into the garage. Hopefully I can spread it out enough that we can go through it and pick out the stuff we really want to keep and sell or give away the rest.
